An unusually intense gag for anyone who wants one that genuinely works. It sits somewhere between a ball gag, a tongue gag and a mouth guard, without really belonging to any of them.
It fills the oral cavity and the space between teeth and lips. The tongue sits in an opening made for it, and depending on tongue size there can be a slight vacuum effect when the wearer tries to pull it back. That doesn't stop the gag being taken out by hand — the tongue can be worked free of the opening, but it achieves little and tends to end up back in.
The frenulum area is deliberately thin, with a marked section that can be cut away if more room is needed.
It is designed to be worn under a mask, muzzle or similar. On its own it can be pushed out, so secure it if that matters — or simply order the sub not to. Once in, nothing shows but slightly fuller cheeks, so it can be worn in public without drawing attention.
Speech drops to unarticulated sounds, guessable if you already know what the wearer is trying to say. Drooling ranges from barely any to a lot depending on the person. Swallowing is unaffected, and a correctly sized gag should barely trigger a gag reflex. Several hours of wear is realistic.
Material
Soft silicone, which is what makes long wear comfortable. It is food-grade silicone and can be boiled to disinfect.
